There is usually an adjustment period, particularly with new full dentures. Most people find that eating and speaking become more comfortable over the first few weeks as they adapt. We will give you practical guidance on what to eat initially and how to care for your denture to make the transition as smooth as possible.

Dentures should be removed and cleaned daily with a soft-bristle toothbrush and soapy water, and left out to dry. Regular (Although quick!) dental check-ups are still important even with full dentures, as we monitor the health of your gums and the fit of the denture over time.

In many cases, yes. If your denture breaks or a tooth chips, bring it in as soon as possible, and we will assess whether it can be repaired. Do not attempt to repair a denture yourself using household adhesives, as this can cause further damage and affect the fit.
